Grey

Everything was grey
Emotionless she lay
No one was there
Her life was unfair

In the past she spoke
With glimmers of hope
Now ‘twas hope she’d avoid
Her heart was devoid

She’d cry to sleep
Wishing she could leap
Over her pile of troubles
That always burst her bubble

She wished she could smile
Every once in a while
But when she tried
She knew she’d lied

The girl did confess
Her life was a mess
Things were too much to bear
But no one really cared

So she hung her head low
And didn’t dare show
Others how she felt
Cause she knew they won’t help…
