"I won't lose another friend again. I won't," resolved Arc in determination, mourning over the tragic demise of his friend, Fajita, "I'm not an Emperor of the Sea if I can't even protect my friends." The Silver Knight-Samurai Alliance had recently been formed - a melding of the Silver Knight Alliance and the Eight Trigram Samurai. "So now we've got five. There's still three, though. Torrafaruga, Gritham and Gaea. They should be in Grand Country right now - let's go there, I haven't seen them for years," recited Akazaya. "Not so fast! We still have to go to Onigirishima to pick up some materials. After that, we're going to Hakai to defeat Sabre. Then, we will go to Grand Country to defeat Marvel," corrected Law. "Good enough for me. I believe we can liberate our country with your help, you are all very strong pirates," replied Akazaya. "Look! There's Onigirishima! It's right ahead!" called out Marco. And so, the ship sailed to Onigirishima to pick up some materials - the onslaught against Marvel had begun.
30 Years Ago, in the New World...
A giant ship swayed on the sea, facing three other smaller ships. "Roger! They're here!" called out a man on the giant ship with a spyglass, looking towards the three other ships on the sea. "Let's prepare for battle!" cried out another man, drawing his gun. Then, a hush fell onto the giant ship as a man walked through to the front of the observation deck. "I will meet them in battle! You can face off against their subordinates. Roger Pirates, are you ready?" roared the man. "Yes, captain!" was the loud reply, echoing through the sea. The man leapt off the ship, wielding his sword as he jumped through the air and onto one of the smaller ships. "Arghhh!" cried out the men on the ship as the man landed. Two other men, from the two other small ships, leapt onto the ship as well, facing the man from the large ship. Another man walked out from the gathering of people on the ship. "Ahhh, Roger! The Pirate King himself! What an honor it is to fight you - if we defeat you, we'll be Pirate King!" cried out one of the man from the small ship. "Ah, yes, Marvel. Good to see you too. I see, I see, you bought Leon and Sabre with you too! If you honestly think the three of you can face off me, I'm impressed. But I'll be quick - I've got a fight with King Egghead too," replied the man from the big ship, Roger. Marvel, Leon and Sabre all drew their swords as Roger raised his. Marvel roared, "Soul Slash!" just as Leon cried, "Conquest of the Paramount Nation!" with Sabre also yelling, "Six Spots Super Strike!" The three combined attacks, all filled with Advanced Aura, shot at Roger, combining into a single large dragon made of Advanced Aura. But Roger simply blocked the blow before roaring, "Divine Departure!" It seemed like the world had stopped for a moment. The ship exploded as the heavens split apart and the seas rocked dangerously. Roger sword was exploding with Conqueror's Aura, Flow Aura and Aura. Then, he swung it and a massive explosion erupted, destroying Marvel, Leon and Sabre in one blow. He jumped back onto his ship as the small ships exploded with the force of a bomb. "Nice work, Ace," Roger said, patting his sword as it glowed a vivid gold.
A week later from the previous battle...
Roger had set out to meet King Egghead on one-on-one in a dense jungle to have a huge battle. King Egghead had been nicknamed 'Roger's Rival' for his notorious feats and Roger ached to have a battle with him. "Oh! You're here!" cried out King Egghead, rising and lifting his sword up. Roger laughed, "I head you were magnificent in power! I wanted to fight you... it's boring not being able to have a battle that is even," he said. Egghead smiled, "I heard you had defeated Marvel, Leon and Sabre easily. I cannot wait to begin!" Roger and Egghead took their respective sides of the clearing in the jungle as the battle of the century began. Roger quickly infused his blade with all three forms of Aura and slashed as Egghead catapulted out of his side of the jungle. Roger slashed with his blade and Egghead blocked the impact before using his Tremor Fruit to create a massive earthquake that Roger dodged before returning the attack with another Aura-infused slash that Egghead parried with a Tremor Shield. "Ro ro ro ro ha ha ha! What fun! You really are my rival, after all!" laughed Roger, greatly enjoying the fight. Egghead smiled as he smashed his hand down onto the ground, creating an explosion of tremors that Roger sliced away. Egghead tremored the ground, propelling himself up onto the air where he infused his blade with all three forms of Aura and smashed the blade down towards Roger as he plummeted. Roger infused his blade with all three forms of Aura as well before he lifted his sword up, crying "Divine Departure!" A massive explosion followed, with all the trees being ripped off and the tides swelling as a result of powerful Aura clashing. The two adversaries continued to clash for three days and three nights when finally they came to a standstill when the Roger Pirates and Egghead Pirates had stated that their ships had nearly capsized as a result of the clashing. Roger, laughing and filled with joy at finding a worthy opponent, sat with Egghead together as they chatted.
"Ro ro ro ro ha ha ha! What a clasher yourself, Egghead!" cried out Roger merrily. King Egghead smiled. "Oho! High praise! But tell me, Roger, what is this treasure you left behind?" asked Egghead. "Ah, yes. The treasure I left behind. I cannot reveal it to you as of now, but I can tell you that if someone finds it, the world will be shocked to its core! Ro ro ro ha ha! But I made sure that no one but the most worthy would be able to get it. Only those with Testament Blood would be able to touch it!" Roger replied, "Speaking of which, the World Government seems to hate these people with Testament Blood... I wonder what it is? I might seek to fight Skye, Harbor and Fade later on, though, to find the meaning." Egghead nodded and as the sun began to set and it was nearly time for the Roger Pirates to depart, Roger sought Egghead out to speak to alone. They went back to the clearing in the jungle where Roger gave Egghead a desperate plea. "King Egghead, I entrust you with my sword, Ace," he said as he passed the blade to Egghead, "you must pass it on to another person later in your life. You will know who it is, they will stand out from all others." Egghead, shocked, spluttered, "But-but, don't you have need for this sword, yourself? Aren't you the great Pirate King?" Roger smiled sadly, "I may not return from this next adventure I am going on. But I entrust you with the blade. Goodbye, Egghead, thanks for your splendid battle and I thank you for taking my blade. We will not see each other again. Goodbye," he said as he stood up and left Egghead alone to ponder in the dense jungle, turning over his new sword, deep in thought. And from that day on, Egghead had looked across the world for what Roger had called 'someone who stood out from all others'. For many years, he came back empty-handed but no, he would not give up on his mission to help the Pirate King. Even after Roger died, he painstakingly searched and searched. And finally, ten years ago, on a visit to the peaceful Rica Island, he finally found Roger's chosen one. And now, Arc, the Silver Knight, owns Ace, this legendary blade.
