Easter Hunt

I woke up Easter Sunday and....
as usual I got my breakfast, then hearing the twins, Ethan & Jasmine calling of their cots, I went & got them up. I sat them in their highchairs & gave them their breakfast & sat down to finish mine of also. While eating breakfast I spoke to them about the Easter & the Easter bunny & my favourite part, egg hunts. During this the phone ringing interrupted me. I answered the call & took the phone to mum & woke her up. Stopping briefly in the living room to turn on the tv & noticing Delta Goodrem was on I stayed a minute to watch & then returned to the kitchen, to find the twins were no longer in their highchairs, the little Houdini’s had escaped. After a few minutes of looking & calling out for them mum & dad got up & came to see what all the noise was about. Shortly followed by my little sisters Rebecca & Brittany coming down the hall rubbing their eyes, walking as if they were still half a sleep & stumbling over toys. Once everyone realised what was going on we started looking around in all the rooms. Next with no luck we looked in the usual places the twins would usually be found to hide or play, we started to search in the silliest places. My sisters & I checked the bunkbeds in their room, my loftbed, our wardrobes, behind & beside all of the furniture. While mum & dad looked in toy boxes, the kitchen pantry, a usual play & hiding spot for them, even kitchen cupboards they might squeeze into. After about 5 minutes of looking mum really started to worry more. Dad then went to check the back garden, but as he was opening the back door mum ran past him almost knocking him over. Looking lost mum then swung around with her finger to her lips, gestured us to be quiet & pointed into the garden. Once we were all outside we stood silently listening & all we could hear was faint whispers. We followed the sounds & they led us down to the fairy garden & cubby at the back of the garden where we finally found them. They were sitting on the ground with our 3 rabbit statues & were whispering between each other. When the twins saw us behind them, both Ethan & Jasmine turned around & went “Sshhhh!!” Mum then said, "What are you two doing out here". The Twins replied, "waiting for the bunnies to give us our Chocolate eggs".
