There are a few things
That I love
A few things that make me happy
A few things that make me smile.

Of those few things
The beach is a part
My friends, my family, my God
They are there too.

I love the beach
I love to be there
I love the feelings, the emotions
What’s not there.

I love the sand in between my toes
The white, warm sand
I love the glowing, heart warming sun
The cool sea breeze.

I love the water
The beautiful blue water
The sound of waves crashing
My salty beach hair blowing in the wind.

I love that there’s no expectations
To be someone
Someone perfect, someone “normal”
Someone “cool”.

I love that there’s no pressure
To be what everyone else is
To follow the ways of the world
To be what I live not to be.

I love to be at the beach
To be amongst feelings I love
To feel for once in my life
I am living a life of my own.
