Easter
Easter Poem
“He is risen!” went the cries,
Though Easter, eggs may symbolise,
A time of love,
A time of joy,
Not the time for some small toy,
Children laughing as they search,
A family heading off to church,
But do they see?
Do they know?
Because of Jesus it is so,
Many people say “Yeah right!”
They don’t believe what’s out of sight,
So listen little girls and boys,
Forget about your Easter toys,
The chocolate eggs and bunnies too,
For Easter’s not about just you,
It’s all about the Lord our God,
When on earth’s soil, Jesus trod,
About the cross, the price He paid,
When in our hands, His life He laid.
