Jealousy Amongst The Group

Have you ever felt that one of your friends doesn’t like you? That they’re trying to make your life miserable. I have. I never knew the reason ‘till someone told me and even then I didn’t believe them. But then it began to dawn on me that my friend really was jealous of me. This is my story.
“Jessica!” someone called out to me as I was walking to class. I turned around to see Danielle, my best friend running towards me. As we were walking to class we talked about what we had been doing during the summer holidays. We met up with Hannah, Laura and Alisha. The bell rang just as we got to our seats in class. Our teacher, Mrs Gully walked in. Seventh Grade began.
After the first period, my friends and I walked to the cafeteria. We sat down at a table and talked about what we’ve been doing recently. For some reason throughout the day Alisha ignored me. I thought it was just in my head but as the days past it just grew worse. She started being mean towards me and made me feel left out. This was getting serious. What was wrong with her?
Then one day, Hannah called me and told me some disturbing news. She told me that Alisha was jealous of me. I couldn’t believe it. Alisha had everything. She was rich; she got everything she wanted and had a house four times larger than mine. Why would she be jealous?
A few weeks later when I went to visit Alisha, I heard her parents shouting and Alisha crying. Then it hit me. Alisha had an unhappy life because of her parents. She was jealous of me because I had a happy family and loved my life even if I didn’t have everything I wanted.
I rushed home and called Danielle, Hannah and Lauren. I told them to come over urgently because I had something important to tell them. When they came over I explained what I had overheard. They were shocked. They never knew that Alisha was so sad. We decided to organise a party for Alisha.
The next day was a Saturday so we all met at Lauren house to organise the party. We put Hannah in charge of the invitations, Lauren in charge of the cake and Danielle and I in charge of the decorations. Throughout the week we got everything organised. The next Saturday everything was set. That evening we called Alisha and told her to meet us at Lauren’s house and that it was an emergency. When she came we surprised her and she loved it.
After the party we talked to Alisha about what’s been happening in her life. She told us the truth and said that she will never hide anything from us again. She also apologised to me for being so mean. Now everything is alright again and we can go on with our lives.
So next time your friend is being mean find out why before you make any accusations.
