Gerbra Field

The world lay peaceful around us as we drive to Townsville for a holiday. When we wind down the window we can hear the birds tweeting happily and we can feel the soft air blowing on our face. Just when we think nothing can go wrong it just happens that it does. The car goes in a puddle of mud and slides off the road. Luckily it goes on to a drive way and the tire has a hole in it, so we walk up the drive way to see a mansion. We knock on the door and a maiden opens it and says we can stay until we get the car fixed. She shows us to our rooms and then showed us around the rest of the house. After that we took a walk and found a field of gerberas. Of course I went basically crazy because they are my favourite flowers so I picked lots.

That night it was a little hard to sleep. I could hear lots of animal noises. I was just about to get to sleep when I heard a very loud knock on the bedroom door. I opened it and there stood the maid with a frown on her face.'' you are very lucky you are new around here. You are very naughty to pick the gerberas from the field. Mr Mason will go crazy if he finds out that you picked his lovely gerberas'' said the maid.'' I’m very sorry ma’am'' I said very scared that I got in trouble.

I woke up feeling very bad of myself for getting in so much trouble. I was so happy when I first saw the field and I wish I had not found it. I want to see it so much but how? I can sneak out to it at night. I thought while I was eating breakfast.

Of course I stuck with my plan and went out at night to see the field. It was cold outside but I knew I would be okay. I reached down and got a handful of gerberas. I walked in to the middle of the field and just as I was about head back to the house when I heard a long, noisy howl. I turned around to see a big dingo. It ran up to me. I screamed as it got closer. An old man ran out of the house and rushed me back in with him. '' I hope you are okay but you should not be sneaking out picking my good flowers’’ said the man which I realised was Mr Mason. '' I won't do that again, sir'' I said with the slightest shiver down my body. The old man started coughing and then started walking up stairs.

I was woken up by a terrified scream from upstairs. It was the maid. She ran down to my father and said quietly to him '' the poor fellow has died and his last words were let her live here and pick as many as she wants '' and my dad replied '' does he mean my daughter?"
"Yes I am very sure of that". The maid replied to my dad.

We started living our new life at the mansion and I picked as many flowers as I could ever pick and the whole family enjoyed it.
