Riding silently through the night
eyes blinking with fear
looking for a rout to take
though the night is no where clear
he stopped and caused a sudden halt
and again he redeployed
heavy Armour slowed the pace
causing infantry to be destroyed
his heart broke as he froze with guilt
then collapsed upon the sand
he glared amongst his statue allies
knowing he fail his given errand
awaiting death he shivered in the dark
listening to the footsteps grow near
a sword soon struck and all was silent
as death was no longer to fear
