Snowflakes, shimmering in the glow of the streetlamps,
whirl about them
On a cold, winter’s night
The shadows that loom in the corners,
Outshined by the city lights that glisten
against the dark sky
She is mesmerised by his deep, blue eyes,
she blushes at his cheeky grin,
and is seduced by the rumble of his deep voice
As he holds her, his touch melts the delicate snowflakes
that linger ever so softly on her cheek.
He gazes deep into her eyes
She feels naked as his eyes search her face,
She is not ashamed, nor is she afraid
For she knows their parting will come,
But memories are just as sweet.
