It seems like an age that she came into my life,
A resonating light to a world that was strife.
I didn’t know then, as I know now
I can remember when, but I can’t remember how.
My lungs they were stale from the life I’d been granted,
Living had left me all twisted, crumpled and slanted.
Then she came along and quenched all of that hate,
She made me feel better and now I fly straight.
She’s a defender at heart, yet she has quite a mission,
To stop all my antics and she has my permission.
I know I will try, but who knows how much time I need?
Yet you’ve already helped, you have planted the seeds.
These seeds they will grow, they will help me recover,
Will I ever find what I’m yet to discover?
The spark inside me, the spark inside you,
My fire would have been left unlit if it wasn’t for you.
