Dawn To Dusk

The dawn is breaking, the world awakening,
A brilliant new day is born,
Light blinds the horizon, forever mistaking
A sweet memory of the night’s forlorn.
A flower blooms, the hours loom,
A cloudless vision above,
A simple kiss, a birthday wish,
A morning bursting with love.
The leaves embrace, a dancer’s grace
A promise, a sorry, a please,
A child’s daze, a lover’s gaze,
Life mesmerizes the trees.
An awe filled sigh, an artist’s lie,
The air whispers a secret breeze,
Tears of pure gold streak the pink summer sky,
Mourn for its last heart beat.
The day is dying, the dusk is crying,
Lost is the very last chance,
Deep blue shadows kiss the silver lining,
A goodbye wave, a final dance.
Sprinkled with diamonds, shades of dark gray,
Twilight caresses the noon,
A late night sky, a memory of day,
The finale - a radiant moon.
