She finds herself out in this world alone.
Out of school, into a lonely new town.
Albeit she knows the fault is her own,
Her face is creased with a permanent frown.
Her self-esteem is far beyond repair.
Leaving it behind her; future, unclear.
Dodging strangers’ glares, en route to nowhere.
She’ll keep walking this road, her face austere.
Kicking up dust on this deserted path,
She will be contemplating all things past.
Reflecting now, and feeling the world’s wrath,
She truly hopes this feeling will not last.
She has no idea which way she’s bound,
But it’s easier to be lost than found.
