Salt water trickling over my skin
My eyes close as they blush a striking red
My head follows as it scrunches into a lined mess
And my neck tenses, I feel as though there is a fire inside my head
What once was lush hair is now frail and in a clutter of tears
I curl into a ball and lay my head on my knees
Then wipe my the tears with my hands
I begin to sing to myself
But I hear other noises, walking towards my room
My mother begins to sing another song of a different kind
Just like that, my nightmares and uncertainties disappear
I feel a slight smile and lye on my bed
Waiting to see the dreams my consonance has waiting for me.
