A dull thud vibrated the very floor;
Unable to regain my footing, I toppled down the corridor.
Sharp pains coursed through my body as I collided with the ceiling;
A shrill siren sounded somewhere in the distance.
The air streamed out through the breach;
The blackness outside seemed to go on forever.
My world spiralled through the abyss;
Illuminated by its own candescence.
A hole opened up inches from my nose;
The pinpricks of light sparkled welcomingly.
Coldness enveloped me;
I would never see those stars again.
