Never, By You

Falling off the brackets
Crumbling in your fingertips
Collapsing under the lightest breath
Yet holding up to the strongest winds
The key long since lost
The lock long since shattered
Every push, every pull
Brings me closer to ultimate destruction
When you try to push me aside
I swing back, forward then away
YOU will never destroy me
So why are you standing there
Looking forlorn and confused
Trying to dispose of me
Failing every time
You must have realised by now
YOU could never obliterate me,
The strongest and most ancient of Gates.
