I am a child soldier,
My gun is taller than me,
The gun that grasped my eyesight,
The gun that hated me,
I have no eyes to weep with,
I have no eyes to see with,
No eyes to enjoy and relish,
The wonderous power of mother nature,
I am a child soldier,
I have a hole in my head,
A hole where my eye was there,
A hole that was never there,
I have no eyes to weep with,
I have no eyes to see with,
No eyes to see, what the dark, loathsome rifle, once did to me.
