know you're in there, hiding,
Determined to seek the truth
Behind the film that lies over your eyes.
I'm tearing down your little world,
Safe and comforting you've created for yourself

I'm eating you from the inside out,
Much like the curiosity you sparked in me.
I rip you and your mask apart in my quest to find you,
Regardless of what damage I inflict,
I'm too close to reality to stop my rampage now.

Your mask falls to pieces with your tears
And I am hit with the startling realisation;
I have destroyed something beautiful,
But uncovered something even more so in the process.
