You And Me

You can turn and walk away; I still won’t change my mind
Nothing taken seriously, just having our fun along the way
I’m not broken up inside, I’m feeling more than fine
I’m still finding myself; I’ll follow that sunlight’s ray
There’ll always be a ‘you and me’
I guess I saw it coming, but reality hit me deep
Living in my own world, it was only you and me
We had our fun, the memories I’ll forever keep
You had my heart, you held the key
There’ll always be a ‘you and me’
Looking at my footprints, I see how far we’ve come
I won’t dwell on the past; I’m focused on the present
We were each other’s first, clearly we both won
I still hold your picture; you’re stuck there like cement
The smiles, the laughs, the good times;
There’ll always be a ‘you and me’
