A Flower

I am like a flower
That hides alone in the dark
Always in the shadow
of those who have a life
I rely on those who offer
Not the ones I ask
I don't get what I need
Because I'm not brave enough to try
I have started somewhere new
And I hope to have a chance
To escape from my old bindings
And start a brand new dance
Within a circle of sunlight
And a bunch of friends.
