At the moment of our birth
determines use and sense of worth.
Our thoughts, our feelings cast aside
And foolish rules we must abide.
Treated worse than lowly dogs
A nuisance, hated, like smelly bogs.
Locked in prison with arms tied
No one sees the tears we've cried.
Stabbing pains, slashed open hearts
As my own kind are killed by carts.
Not understanding, not reaching out
For in their minds unending doubt.
A single word is all it takes
To drown a soul in salty lakes.
Forever bound until we're freed
By those with hate and those with greed.
