I Am The Bearer Of The Crow

The harden one hides their delight
As morn breaks through the dawning light
Bringing the death and gore to sight
Perhaps the cowards aren’t the fools, because at dark they took to flight
Weapons clash, metal on metal, music to the crow’s ears
War cries are heard throughout the land
Screams of death curse the mother’s hand
The sea of blood swam before my eyes
As I watch the last brave man die
My eyes scanned the battleground, taking in the waste of life
Another family’s strife
But I, I stand, last
Upon dawns fading light
I am the bearer of the crow
Of untold death, the teller of the fight
