In 1914 to 1918 the war in Gallipoli was so terrible because they had to be dropped off on ships. It was so scary for the people because there were so many mountains and the Turkish were on the top of the hills shooting at them. There was horror – lots of horror. It was so horrifying. Even though thousands of Aussies died that day we still won the battle. Lots of people lost their lives which was very sad and many families were very sad. Can you imagine what they felt like when their friends were dropping around them? They would just be getting more aggravated and aggressive.
Just to let you know, my Great Granddad was a bullet-maker for the Aussies.
