The somber peace draws in
The night, so still within
The moon, the stars, the sky
The silence one daren't deny
The city lights impossibly at peace
The buzzing noises hushed to cease
The laughter hung incomplete
The apparitions only left to greet
For the world had burst into life
For the lights and flames led but to strife
The blinding flash, the intense heat
The storm clouds grown beat by beat
The ball thrown with joyful tears
Ne'er coming down when the storm clears.
