Nature's Dance

The autumn leaves, dressed in red and orange tu tus,
Gracefully leaping.
They are in time with the breath of the wind,
the sound of their rustle
and the caw of the crows

The ants,
Marching in time to the croak of the cicadas,
Keeping in perfect lines, and perfect synchronicity.
1…2… 1…2… 1…2…
As the marching band passes

The dancer,
He moves gracefully like the last red and orange, bronzed leaf
As it falls from the tree,
The wind billowing through it
Rhythmically moving the same way as the black, six legged insect.
As it soldiers in the spot light
As he dances nature’s dance
