It was a cold starry night, rows of tulips swayed in the breeze
The moon shone bright and Tara felt as though she was going to freeze.
As she tiptoed through the tulips, a rustling sound made her stop
What could it be? It‘s only a mouse she told herself
But the back of her neck prickled
She was sure someone was watching her
Her heart missed a beat
A pair of jade green eyes watched her from behind a bush
The eyes held Tara in a trance
For over a minute their eyes were locked
Tara was unable to draw hers away
And then she froze
Rigid as stone she remained; forever still
People began to think she was a monument and as one she stayed
Never look into the green eyes…
