Death comes, wind blows
A chill down the snake
Here comes the snow
Heat doesn’t come

Spiders drop from trees
Birds cheep in the tops
Water flows in the river
Pipes that you can’t see

Possums hang on the branches
Frogs jump high, frogs jump low
The wedge tailed eagle swoops for prey
Snow falls from the sky

Rain makes ice when it is cold
Huts remain, living barely
Ice comes from the mountain
Melting, running and fresh

Giving life as it flows
