I’d take a smile over money any day
An old fashion girl wouldn’t you say
I wear long floral frocks
Blessed are my cotton socks
I am an old fashion girl
I’d take country over city any day
An old fashioned girl wouldn’t you say?
I don’t care much for TV
I like life when it’s easy
I am an old fashion girl
Blue ribbon ice-cream is
What I grew up with
No fancy café style treats
And the neighbourhood was boring
Unless kids on bikes where soaring
And everyone’s dog roamed the street
I’d take a smile over money any day
An old fashion girl wouldn’t you say
I wear long floral frocks
Blessed are my cotton socks
I am an old fashion girl
