Blankets of sunlight shattered;
Hues and contrasts of flavescent aura; birthed.
A holocaust of concealment and darkness;
The bombardment of each skeletal outline
Of oaks that lingered in deadly silence.
Through canopies of fluorescent flora
That huddled intently in one owns’ despise
For entities that did not share capacity
They sat omnipotent; swayed, and stared.
Competition speculated as age ascended,
The troposphere intrepidly engulfed branches;
Prodded and bent, twisted and elongated.
Photosynthesis resumed steadfastly.
Engaged on a collision course, trunks persisted.
Each offspring disputed ideas of infringement
Through history, a time line and lifetime of preparation
Seasons weathered interwoven wisdom-inspired life.
Winters interrupted and discerned between
Persevered anatomical phloem and xylem;
The Decree of the Oaks, harnessed diligently,
And one particular delinquent, its roots withered.
Adhering to the illustration of insubstantiality,
The oaks matured cautiously. Antiquity.
A perceived phantasm of solidarity, achieved.
But still, eerie humidity loitered; ominous.
Foreboding echoes of iniquity hurdled over crowns,
Unhealthy mystique manifested morosely.
The placid earth grew with geothermal torridness;
Scorched by a sporadic summer.
Flames inundated each vein with charred darkness
As crimson reds infused each petiole with crisp execution.
Lateral buds guillotined by the calescent heat.
Existent opportunity; eradicated
Hues and contrasts of flavescent aura; birthed.
A holocaust of death and darkness;
The bombardment of each skeletal carcass
Of oaks that once existed in deadly silence.
