A Faithful Friend

Petite and pocket-sized,
With pygmy-like
Half-doughnut ears,
And a dimple for a nose.

His fluffy and fuzzy
Arms outstretched, ready for a hug.
Pulling you in to his
Plump and pudgy potbelly.

Doughy legs dangling
From a soft lump
Of sugar,
And sweets!

In a troubled world,
We find solace in
The teddy bear’s smile.
