The heavens are alight with passion and fury.
Peach melts into aqua, thrown carelessly across the sky.
Splashes of scorching crimson fade into mellow pink and white.
And they all collide with the cobalt Night.
The sky an endless canvas; the Sun and moon the artists.
The lake below mirrors the artwork painted above;
ripples sending it dancing,
and colours glimmering on its gentle waves.
Like dust, the embroidered colours are swept away,
drowned by Night's humble glory, lost in a cloak of grey
Like a lamp in the mist, the Moon lends its light
But the clouds play their own game,
twirling and spreading, invading the Night.
Across the horizon a masterpiece passes by,
A sweet tapestry sprawled across the evening sky.
