I Am Who I Am

I am the girl who can’t believe
But is still striving to succeed
I am the girl who thinks too much
Only to find she hasn’t thought enough
I am the deceptive deceiver
Fooling you all, the misleader
I am the screams of riot
It’s impossible to keep me quiet
I am the feelings never expressed
and the one who needs to worry less
I am the rainbow without the rain
though the threatening gun without the pain
I am like the night stars
Unique and visible from afar
I am a dreamer with no hesitation
I dance with determination
I am over sensitive
At times I am too defensive
I am confused all the time
But I keep it in my mind
I am the sky on an astounding day
just to watch it all get swept away
I am the whisper in your ear
always keeping it sincere
I am sworn to do what I have to
if it means my dreams become pursued
I am the one who strives to gain
accomplish, seek and attain
I am a teenage girl
through innocent eyes I see the world
I am forever making mistakes
this ignorance is happiness
I am the temptation that fills your heart
the paper when it’s torn apart
I am, at times a bad influence
Maybe, I might get to fearless
I am the heart that didn’t break even
Because happiness is what you believed in
I am me, I have imperfections
for this im glad, it’s my ambition
I am I, and they can’t change it
And I am not afraid to admit it
I am not pretending,
I’m ever changing
