I am disoriented and downcast
I wonder what on Earth is going on
I hear the faint sounds of cars in my aged ears
I want to be at peace, and for my family to live in tranquillity
I am baffled and depressed
I believe in nothing, only memories...
I feel lightened from the aura their laughter surrounds me in
I worry this place will be banished, after all the memories we’ve shared here me boy
I will not fight, fate has its own ways…
I am at war, for peace
I understand this is the end, isn’t it?
I say nothing, only silence…
I dream of battle, the nightmares and triumph it has brought
I try to help you, but my rusted bones ache
I hope I have raised a good grandchild
I am watching over you, me boy
