Young Love? Stuff It!

she heard him wisper softly,
she heard him whisper kind.
he said he wanted only her,
for now and all his life.
she knew she was only young,
but he still did try.
'you love me?' he said
that just made her sad.
'im not ready'she said,
'its only me.' he grinned.
'no' she said standing her ground,
'but your the best ive found!'
'im not ready' she pleaded.
'then i guess its time for me to go
we're over! we're through!
thats right im dumping you!'
'but wait! please wait!'
'im DONE! i only wanted that!'
he left her,
right there.
it was there upon the field,
her heart broke her one and only shield.
she cried,
she sobbed.
but then she grew stronger,
from a girl into a woman.
he changed her,
he broke her.
but now she is strong,
now she needs no one.
trust no-one and you will never get hurt.
