Every year I go to stay,
At a magical land called Penneshaw Bay,
Where mermaids brush their golden hair,
Gently singing with voices fair.
Dolphins leap and twist at play,
Arching their backs shining silver, not grey,
The morning sun shines on the wavy blue sea,
Casting bright diamonds for all to see.
The waves will toss and roll to shore,
Occasionally rising like birds when they soar.
The white froth bubbles and foams at the force,
Frolicking and bucking like an untamed horse.
Down by the rocks are shells of bright colour,
Waiting silently for someone to discover.
So special is this place, so beautiful, so grand.
The most breathtaking place named Kangaroo Island.
