Hatred; bittersweet compensation, please don’t scorch me.
Seeping through open veins
Sorrow rolls down quivering faces
And fury, red hot, licks up in flames
Overcoming me again and again.
Sadness; drowns me, consuming every memory
Driving deep into aching bones
Sense of dread, not belonging
Tears suffocate, but they drag me home
Overwhelming me again and again.
Happiness; intoxicates as it ripples through my soul
Eternal sunshine, luscious drops of warmth
Euphoria everywhere, the deadliest poison
Bliss triumphs, a saccharine sweet downfall.
Overpowering me again and again.
