Teddy Bear

He sits upon my pillow
a precous gift from you
and even though you gone now
at least he still stays true
one socket holds a glass eye
the other stares back blank
he watches my through sleepless nights for which i have you to thank
you took with you my heart that day
when you walked out the door
but i realise now that i love you
like i've never loved before
so i sleep all alone now
except for my teddy bear
the one you said would protect me
whenever you couldn't be there
