Beach

I hear the waves crashing like thunder on the sand
While surfers roar as they are propelled towards the land

Seagulls are talking to each other in a language unknown
And the wind howls like a dog that's a long way from home

I'm sitting on a hard rock watching the clouds go by
Dipping my toes into the salty water that glistens like a starry sky

I see children carrying shells in their hands
While digging their feet into the cool cool sand

This is the place I love to be,
Resting down here on my rock by the sea
