The Fall Of Life

She slips from this world a shadow in the night,
Leaving me alone to my endless plight,
I cry in pain of what has become,
And in tears of grief I come undone.

A promise made never to be broken,
A sign of our friendship in the form of a token,
I cannot find the words I do not know how,
I am alone in this world forever and for now.

I drop to my knees head in the ground,
And my soul slips away never to be found,
It is lost in my grief which is an endless pain,
Only once to be recovered then lost again.
