Some notes you hear
Are high and clear
While others are dull and grey
All these sounds
Are mixed around
The world as we know it today.
A bell chimes near
Sweet and clear
A foghorn is heard out to sea
A trumpet blast
In a song played fast
Is a very nice melody.
A piano key
Is open and free
A horn is low and sad
A singer's note
Emitted from the throat
Really doesn't sound that bad.
A cello string
Has a distinctive ring
A violin is rather the same
A gutair chord
Is strong and assured
As it echoes through the wooden frame.
A harp's lilt
The gentle strum
Of fingers and thumb
Over the graceful srings of a harp
Is a sound of peace
And 'til it does cease
Can blanket you like a tarp.
