Jack And The Sunflower Stalk (a Fractured Fairytale)

I advise you to close this book,
don’t even try to take a look.
A little boy Jack had some fun,
he literally climbed up to the sun.
Jack lived with his mum, cow as well,
but they didn't know what to sell.
So Jack got entwined in a deal,
brought sunflower seeds for a meal.
Jack got home his mum was stressed,
they were hungry, the house was messed.
Jack's mum threw the seeds out the window,
not to far but where did they go?
The next morning the problem was solved,
for there was a stalk tall and bold.
It was a sunflower huge, nice,
with seeds that looked like grains of rice.
Acting like batman climbing up,
his mum was crying and in a muck.
Jack promised he would never stop,
5 months went by he reached the top.
At the top Jack saw some food ,
but then someone was in a mood.
2 giant beasts were standing there,
ready to give poor Jack a scare.
Both of them were grimmer than grim,
and they both really needed a trim.
One lacked source of vitamin E,
the other lacked vitamin C.
So Jack had an idea, ran away,
got sunflower seeds from that day.
Jack grinded them quick for giant's hands,
so giants cheered like they were fans.
Jack knew seeds had vitamin C,
stuffed them down the beast quite quickly.
The giants were in a happy mood,
so they gave Jack a basket of food.
Jack almost slid right down the stalk,
but then the giants gave him pork.
Obviously Jack is not a Jew,
not eating pork he never knew.
Jack walked straight through the open door,
a greedy boy he wanted more.
So Jack got silver and bronze now,
not mentioning a golden cow.
Then Jack slid down and told his mum,
they celebrated with some rum.
Jack brought down the giants with lots of glee,
they all lived together happily.
This is not how it’s meant to end,
too late to close this book my friend.
