The pool can tell, the pool can hide;
All the comfort that you provide.
A drip of this, a drop of that;
The ragging rapids they may be flat.
My pool is blue, yours is green;
But the pool we share has a bright sheen.
A pool of rocks, a pool of sand;
It can be found near the Strand.
A pool for exercise, a pool for leisure;
Nothing as strong as a beat or a measure.
Our pool can cry, their's can weep;
But can't be moved out, not this week.
The green pool has birds, the blue has flies;
The next-door pool is used to train spies.
The pool of water, the pool of love;
But the pool we share is all of the above.
