Bumping down a long dirt road
Staring into a world of nothingness
A cloud of red dirt cloud fills the sky like a nuclear explosion,
Looking at the clock time passes but it’s hardly noticeable
My raw red arm hanging out the Ute window burnt from the hot midday sun
Feral pigs racing me as I drive past their homes in the chick pea fields
Dead hares and rabbits are scattered along the side of the road from last night’s shooters
The smell of chemicals fills the air as I get closer to my destination
I few laughs and a splash in the water to end the day
Until tomorrow and all will be the same.
