This is a place to go to when you need to talk
You can tell the flowers all that you can’t tell others
The rose will listen as you tell her about your awful day
The daisy won’t mind when you complain about how unfair life is
The lily seems to smile when you recall an embarrassing moment
The marigold appears bored when you talk about your new friend
But really, it is listening intently to your every word
Flowers don’t laugh at you, or scorn your unusual ideas
All your ups and downs can be shared in this place
This place where you can escape from the worries of daily life
This place that can be your own world, where you know that
in a special way, you fit in
Even though part of this place is made up by your imagination,
it can seem so real if you try hard enough
This place…..
A garden
