Through bleeding eyes did she weep,
Tears shed through bloody wounds deep.
Saddened heart and sorrowed eyes,
Knowing someone cold as ice.
Though dark the night may be,
What I want is one last plea.
Now I'm standing here,
The sun rises, the dawn comes near.
Please don't cry, nor shed your tears.
For she has sung, braved her fears.
But if you still hide in fright,
I will try to set things right.
Now lay your thoughts to rest,
The brightest dawn is always best.
Seek no words, but remember,
All those who left at the last ember.
