Abandoned as an egg, it a miracle he survived
In the harsh winter alone, nobody can be revived.
He was taken in by an emperor penguin, isn’t that’s nice of him to do?
“Whose egg they lost” the penguin says, “I haven’t got a clue”
Three weeks have past; it’s almost as freezing as ice,
But the Emperor won’t give up, hatching the egg, as white as rice.
On the Eighth week of lying on the egg, the egg started to wriggle,
A beak cracked the shell and it started to giggle.
A baby king fell out, all covered in coloured coffee,
The feather’s all brown, just like a toffee.
The Emperor flapped his flippers with joy,
And said to the baby, “Come on me, I’ll get you a toy.”
“Thank you Emperor, I’m really happy”
Holding flipper by flipper, with King naming Emperor, Pappy.
