Giraffe
A giraffe, high up in the African Plain.
Its neck so tall it’s almost the size of a crane.
It has spotty skin,
And is quite thin.
It eats up high in an open space,
So nothing can get in its face.
They really are graceful, especially when they run,
You can see their beauty, enhanced by the sun.
A giraffe is one of my favorites,
In the jungle, a prize.
We need to protect them, to not would be unwise.
