She dresses in black

Dirt covers his face

She screams at her parents
“I hate my life”

He never knew his

She plays war games on the play-station

His brother was shot today

Teachers give her a hard time

He’ll never learn to read

Her boyfriend dumped her over text

He was born with Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome

Sometimes when it’s all too much

They break down and cry
