I see the cracks of light breaking through.
I can hear you, but cannot see you.
Behind the locked door, I hear your cry.
It haunts me, well into the night.
I hear your name written on the wind and it scares me.
Isolated and lonely, never sleeping. What are you hiding?
Your pale white skin, your bony figure, your lifeless hair.
The sadness in your eyes, it shows and it worries me.
You try to hide, thinking it doesn’t matter, you’re alone.
Late at night, when everybody’s asleep, I hear you.
I hear your silent screams, your silent pain,
Your cry for help, it angers me.
I never sleep, listening for you, frightened for you, I hurt.
Always in my mind, I remember just how bad it was
That nobody ever knew.
It scars me.
