Bed...
A tantalising taste of a world soon discovered,
A warmth known only by the cold.
A fortress to many, a mistake for some,
A fix for a problem determined to stay numb.
The gateway to the mind and its mischievous ways,
The solace at the end of the longest of days.
The universal secret keeper between friends and unconquered lands,
The shape-shifter, the comrade, the child we found, yet lost between the sheets.
And so we go back to bed...
