Although I can see clearly,
Freedom, is still not near me
Looking at perfection
Cant see my own reflection
Gazing into the shy blue sky
I wonder about the birds, flying by
They have no regrets, no worries, no lies
But yet I continue to ask. Why?
Down in the shadows of what I call home
On the surface so perfect and free
Craving the whisper of your soft gentle voice
It’s the distance between you and me.
For what I used to have your arms
Holding me ever so tight
I wish I would never have to go
I knew I had to give up the fight
